Once you know which terminal has your gate, you must plan how to get there. Boston Logan’s terminals surround a large central parking area. Moving clockwise around the airport, Terminal E stands at its northern point, Terminal C at its eastern point and Terminals B and A to its south. Walkways and shuttles connect the terminals.
Boston Logan offers on-site parking in the large central garage. This garage has access to all the terminals, though you’ll need to walk. There is also a dedicated garage for Terminal B and a smaller lot for Terminal E.
The economy parking garage is at the intersection of Service Road and Prescott Street. The parking fees are lower here than in the other on-site lots, but the terminals are farther away, so you may have safety concerns if you travel alone and opt to walk. A shuttle service from the economy parking to the terminals collects passengers every 15 to 20 minutes.
Alternatively, the nearest off-site parking location is Park Shuttle & Fly. The rates are comparable to on-site economy parking with a convenient, free, 24/7 shuttle service that gets you to your terminal in five to 10 minutes. Our secure parking facility also offers valet and luggage assistance services.
If you take the Park Shuttle & Fly shuttle from your off-site parking spot or the airport’s shuttle from economy parking, you can get off at the correct terminal for your airline and gate. If you park in Logan Airport’s parking garage, you must use the connecting walkways or the airport’s shuttle service.
Once you’re inside your terminal building, the signage will direct you to your gate.
You’ll need to pass through a security checkpoint before you get to your gate. The TSA agents there will ask you to show your ID and boarding pass and remove electronics, travel-sized liquids or other specified objects from your luggage, pockets or purse. At least an hour before departure, you’ll also need to check in at your specific gate. Some airlines allow you to do this online.
You may find yourself with time to spare after these essential procedures, giving you an excellent opportunity to explore the many delightful options for dining and shopping at Boston Logan Airport. The following lists include a few of the restaurants, shops and amenities at each terminal.
